March 25, 2021

Brooksville, Fla.— The CDR Maguire Health & Medical patient portal will go live to book COVID-19 vaccine appointments, this Sunday, March 28, at 3 p.m. for Floridians age 40 or older who would like to schedule an appointment for the first dose of the vaccine at the Hernando County Fairgrounds.

Appointments are required to get the vaccine. Walkups will not be accommodated. Those receiving the vaccine will be required to provide documentation of age such as a driver’s license, government-issued ID, birth certificate or passport.

The health department has received 1,500 total doses of the vaccine, to be administered in the following two, 750-dose blocks:

  • March 30th from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Hernando County Fairgrounds (6436 Broad St., Brooksville, FL. 34601)
  • March 31st from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Hernando County Fairgrounds (6436 Broad St., Brooksville, FL. 34601)

If you schedule an appointment and are unable to make it on your scheduled day, please login to your account at www.patientportalfl.com and cancel your appointment. Alternatively, cancellations can be made by calling 844-770-8548.

The Hernando County appointment portal will go live at 3 p.m. on March 28, 2021. People can then schedule their appointments in one of the above slots on a first come, first served basis using the two options shown below:

Recently, the State of Florida released information about a pre-registration system at myvaccine.fl.gov. This site is independent of Sunday’s signup for vaccines at the Fairgrounds. Registering at that site DOES NOT REPLACE signing up at the Patient Porta. You must register and log into www.patientportalfl.com to register for the appointments that will go live Sunday.

Hernando County expects to receive allocations of vaccine from the state as it is made available. Vaccination appointments will be provided to the public based on the vaccine supply allocation received.
