Brooksville, Fla.— Hernando County Government, in support of the Florida Department of Health in Hernando County, has contracted with CDR Maguire: Health & Medical, to provide vaccination scheduling through their CDR HealthPro™ patient portal software. 

The patient portal will go live to book appointments, on Tuesday, January 26^th at 3 p.m., for Florida residents age 65 or older or for individuals providing health care services involving direct contact with patients who would like to schedule an appointment for the first dose of the vaccine at patientportalfl.com or 844-770-8548

CDR HealthPro™ patient accounts can be created prior to scheduling a vaccination appointment. Creating a patient account does not mean an appointment has been scheduled.  An appointment can only be scheduled when an appointment window is live. When the portal goes live, those with established accounts will be able to return to the platform to make an appointment without having to go through the initial steps of creating an account.

Hernando County has received 1,000 doses of the vaccine, to be administered in the following 2, 500-dose blocks:

• January 28^th from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Hernando County Fairgrounds (6436 Broad St., Brooksville, FL. 34601)
• January 29^th from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Hernando County Fairgrounds (6436 Broad St., Brooksville, FL. 34601)

The Hernando County appointment portal will go live at 3 p.m., on Tuesday, January 26^th. People can then schedule their appointments in one of the above slots on a first come, first served basis using the two options shown below:

• By phone at (844) 770-8548

Appointments are required to get the vaccine. Walkups will not be accommodated.

Hernando County expects to receive allocations of vaccine from the state as it is made available. Vaccination appointments will be provided to the public based on the vaccine supply allocation received. Limited availability of vaccines is anticipated over the next several weeks.

Florida residency requirements were issued on January 21, in a public health advisory by State Surgeon General Dr. Scott Rivkees. Residency requirements can be found in the criteria set forth in - 381.986(5) (b) Fla. Stat.
