The following event has been postponed. Check back for updates on a new date.
On behalf of James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital & Clinics’ Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences Service, we invite you to the 2023 Hernando Veterans Community Mental Health Summit.
It will be Friday, November 17th starting at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to end at 3:30 p.m. We are excited that the Department of Health in Hernando County has allowed us to use their space.
Their address is: 7551 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill, FL 34606
The purpose of past Mental Health Summits in Hernando County remains the same, to enhance the mental health and well-being of Veterans and their family members through increased collaboration between the VA and the community.
Our agenda includes updates on treatment access and presentations from the Tampa Deflection Team, Hernando County Sheriff’s Office CIT, Community Engagement for Suicide Prevention, and the Primary Care Mental Health Integration model in VA. There will also be time to get to know each other better. We encourage you to bring information about your programs, agencies, VSOs, etc. along with your business card for sharing.
Our goal is to engage in active dialogue on how we as a community can address the mental healthcare needs of Veterans and their families.
It has been a few years since we have held a summit in the Hernando County community and we look forward to reconnecting with you.
Sincerely,
Dr. Shiber and Dr. Davis
